What is your favorite thing about the Hixson Program? The AHHH-MAZING staff! We have such a wonderful, fun, and empowering team that truly cares about the success of our students. Where is your favorite place to eat in Ames? I'm a lover of eating, but I'm not a foodie . . . so maybe Noodles and Company? Big fan of macaroni and cheese -- HUGE. What can we find you doing after work and on the weekends? You'll find me making up songs on the spot about my cat, reading fiction, watching movies from eras when I wasn't alive, and revisiting Stars Hollow for the gazillionth time. I also enjoy scrolling through Etsy to purchase things that I don't need, such as ornate-framed illustrations of robust raccoons.

What is your favorite thing about the Hixson program? Connecting with students about their experiences and helping them find a successful path at ISU. Where is your favorite place to eat in Ames? The Café. What can we find you doing after work and the weekends? Playing golf or board games, and reading.

What excites you the most about working with the Hixson program? I am very excited to start working with the Hixson program this semester. I have always wanted to help people from a young age and throughout my professional career, in whatever way I can. I really like to establish relationships with students and hope to make an impact on them. I particularly love seeing students overcome different challenges and obstacles they are faced with. I look forward to learning from different students and finding new ways to assist them so they can be successful! Where is your favorite place to eat in Ames? My favorite place to eat in Ames is Wallaby's, particularly their Bacon Swiss Chicken Sandwich. What can we find you doing after work and on the weekends? I enjoy traveling and exploring new places, golfing, attending sporting events, binge watching the latest Netflix documentary, live music and spending time with family and friends.
